Dreaming Heaven via AVATAR
My hubby and I saw AVATAR in 3D on Christmas Day. Paying a whooping 20 bucks each was not part of the plan but the shock of paying that much for a movie vanished as soon as I saw the magical place of Pandora! In my mind, heaven is pretty much like Pandora ... glowing foliage, serene lakes and waterfalls, and whimsical creatures. But instead of fairies, angels fly aimlessly.
I bought these stamps during one of our trips at Joan's in the US and just didn't have the chance to use them. So, I thought I'll re-create my own AVATAR and dream of heaven on earth ....
Dream on .... ah, pure bliss!

Powder Room Makeover
Wohoo! I'm back blogging! Sure, writing took a backseat for quite sometime but it doesn't mean the creative side of me stopped working. Me and my hubby have been busy with a couple of "do it your own" projects here @ home sweet home.
Project 1: Powder Room Makeover
There's nothing wrong with our current powder room on the main floor of the house but there's nothing great about it either. With a very limited budget, we decided to stay away from our comfort zone and make something that we won't usually do. We thought if we don't like the outcome the room is too small to notice!
Here's a couple of "BEFORE" photos:
The inspiration started with this wall sconce I saw at Home Depot....
.... and this wall decal from Home Sense.
And the work begun....
Hubby to me {mustering a smile}: "Are you sure about this color? You know it's orange, right?"
Me to hubby {with all confidence}: "It's not orange! It's called Dark Palomino!"
After 2 days of painting, placing the decal and accessories, here's the "AFTER" photos:
Dramatic and cozy! Oh yeah, a Comfort Room indeed!
