Assisi is a beautiful hill town in the region of Umbria. Situated 90 miles north of Rome, we traveled by train {Trenitalia} and reached Assisi in a little less than 2 hours.
We walked and walked and walked in and around this gorgeous medieval town and our eyes feasted on postcard-perfect landscape of Umbria punctuated my stone houses.
Assisi happens to be the birthplace of my hubby's favorite saint, St. Francis and mine, St. Clair. We've been dreaming on walking on the same grounds they walked on. You could just imagine the BLISS in our hearts when we walked and walked and again, walked on the peaceful, narrow and historic streets of Assisi!
Wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!
